Preparation Work
We clarify intentions, personal context, practical boundaries, set and setting, communication preferences, support needs, re-entry, and an integration plan before journey day.

CALGARY, ALBERTA · PROFESSIONAL SITTING FOR ADULTS
Preparation. Presence. Integration.
Psychedelic experiences can be profound, beautiful, confusing, challenging, spiritual, emotional, or deeply personal. Whatever arises, you do not necessarily need someone directing the experience. Sometimes what matters most is having a calm, sober, experienced human being beside you who understands how to hold the space without taking it over.
Crossing a threshold and finding your way home.
WHAT YOUR SUPPORT INCLUDES
Professional sitting is more than being present in the room. Every engagement is designed around preparation work, sober journey-day support, and three individual integration sessions after the experience.
We clarify intentions, personal context, practical boundaries, set and setting, communication preferences, support needs, re-entry, and an integration plan before journey day.
I arrive prepared, rested, grounded, and fully present. I protect privacy and the environment, support practical comfort, respect silence, offer grounding when needed, and follow the agreed safety plan.
After the experience, we meet for three individual integration sessions to reflect on what remains significant and translate insight into decisions, habits, relationships, values, boundaries, and everyday action.
THE WAY HOME
The work is not to perform a breakthrough. It is to create enough steadiness before, during, and after the experience that you can meet what arises and carry forward what matters.
THE CONTINUOUS ARC
I provide professional, non-directive psychedelic sitting for adults who have independently chosen and arranged their own psychedelic experience. You lead your journey. I bring the preparation, sober presence, and follow-through that help make the entire arc deliberate and supported.
01
Preparation helps establish intention, psychological readiness, expectations, practical plans, boundaries, support systems, set and setting, and an integration plan before the psychedelic experience begins.
02
The sitter provides calm, sober, attentive presence while protecting the environment, supporting basic comfort, observing changes, offering grounding or reassurance when appropriate, and allowing the client's process to unfold without unnecessary interference.
03
The experience may open a door. Integration determines what happens after you walk through it. Integration helps translate insight into relationships, decisions, habits, boundaries, values, identity, creativity, health, purpose, and everyday life.
A DIFFERENT STANDARD
A powerful experience can reveal something important, but revelation alone does not automatically create transformation.
People can have extraordinary experiences and return to the same habits, relationships, beliefs, fears, environments, and patterns they had before.
This is why I approach psychedelic work as an arc:
Preparation Journey Integration
The goal is not simply to have an intense experience. The goal is to approach the experience deliberately, navigate it with support, and then determine what—if anything—it asks you to change about the way you live.

ABOUT STU
CALM, SOBER, PREPARED HUMAN PRESENCE.
I've spent much of my adult life moving through creative work, entrepreneurship, business, marriage, fatherhood, major life transitions, loss, reinvention, coaching, and eventually serious exploration of psychedelic experiences and integration.
My training has included personal transformation, trauma-informed coaching principles, psychedelic preparation, navigating non-ordinary states, integration coaching, and professional psychedelic sitting.
Meet Stu and read my approachTHE CLIENT GAME PLAN
The process gives the work shape without trying to control its outcome. It carries through preparation, the day itself, and three dedicated integration sessions afterward.
01
Initial conversation.
Clarify expectations, roles, boundaries, practical circumstances, and whether professional sitting appears appropriate.
02
Review relevant background, support systems, emotional readiness, environment, emergency contact information, and major concerns.
Medical or psychiatric questions are referred outside the sitter's scope.
03
Clarify intentions.
Explore expectations. Discuss personal patterns, fears, resistance, support needs, set, setting, boundaries, communication, and integration planning.
04
Finalize: location, timing, privacy, environment, comfort, communication, emergency plan, support contacts, transportation arrangements where relevant, and post-session plan.
The client independently manages all matters relating to their psychedelic substance.
05
The sitter arrives sober, prepared, rested, grounded, and fully present.
The sitter anchors. The client leads.
06
Allow time for grounding and ordinary orientation.
Avoid turning the first hour after the experience into an interrogation. Capture anything the client wants remembered while allowing meaning to emerge gradually.
07
Within the following days, begin examining what remains significant from the experience.
Identify meaningful material without forcing conclusions.
08
Translate insight into decisions, habits, relationships, values, boundaries, routines, accountability, personal development, and meaningful change.
Offer continued individual integration coaching and the one-year integration community.
There is a difference between being alone and being left alone.
A professional sitter does not take over the journey. They provide enough safety, presence, continuity, and human connection that the client can remain in relationship with their own experience.
